The Space is a multi-arts centre on the Isle of Dogs, programming a mixture of theatre, music, comedy and dance. Cure - Theatre

by Struck Dumb Theatre Company

Monday 21st July - Wednesday 23rd July, 8pm - £10/£6 (£8/£6 in advance)

Cure

Finding the cure for cancer- every scientist's dream. But with everyone hungry for the cure, will the dream become a nightmare?

Suicide is out. Sacrifice is in. They said the secret to man's survival lay within usuall- we just didn't know they meant it literally.

With every Shylock after his pound of flesh and the NHS after the offcuts, no one is safe from becoming a donor. Taking a sideways glance at everything from cannibalism to the National Health Service, Cure is a blackly comic social satire, delving into a shadowy underworld where nothing is what it seems. Stark, sexy, satirical, combining live music with punchy dialogue, Struck Dumb bring their own electric brand of theatre to the Edinburgh Fringe.

They say you are what you eat- so why is everyone still dying?
